Indigenous brand Intex Technologies has launched a new ultra-cheap smartphone in the market, Aqua Star II. The new smartphone is priced at Rs 5,999 and will take on Android phones like Moto E and Lenovo A6000, along with the new Microsoft Lumia 532 Dual Sim.
The new Intex Aqua Star II budget smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS screen with 480x854p resolution and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system. Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and comes with 8GB built-in storage and microSD card support up to 32GB.
On the imaging front, it has an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. It runs on a 2,000mAh battery, has dual-sim functionality and comes in four colours: white, black, blue and grey.
Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, head of mobile business, Intex Technologies, said on the launch, "Intex is known for innovation and we are pleased to announce our newest offering, Intex Aqua Star II. The smartphone boasts of distinguished sensor technology, 1.2GHz quad-core processor and an 8MP camera amid other features that makes it a device that rightly stands for the youth of the nation."
